RESOURCE OVERVIEW:

In this activity pupils learn about output devices and create a program to control a LEGO Education WeDo motor using Scratch.

PUPIL OBJECTIVES:

  • I can explain what an output device is.
  • I can write a program that controls an output device.
  • I can describe common uses of output devices in school and beyond school.

TEACHING ASSESSMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Informal teacher assessment of progress during input, main task and plenary. Focus on: pupils describing their use of the output device; pupils writing code which uses the output device; pupils explaining possible uses of the device.
